I was gone for a long time, huh?
Life got distracting. Weddings to shoot and edit. Senior portraits. And then modeling shoots. Yeah, it was crazy there for a while.
August won't be better. Actually, it'll be worse.
But at least I'm back, right?

Rollei Madness
I bought one.
T-series, 3.5 Tessar, circa 1960.
It's pretty sweet and I love it.
This Weekend...Interesting to Say the Least
This weekend was....was, well, a trial of my ability to be a wedding photographer.
I've shot a few weddings...a few weddings by myself, and a few as a second shooter. I don't doubt my ability to handle them, however, I do get nervous before every wedding and start to wonder if I really am capable.
Saturday was a trial. My second shooter canceled on me about two hours before the wedding, which put me in a bind. The bride and groom's time at the church was very limited, so the formals were planned at the same time the women would be getting dressed. I couldn't do all the formals at the end of the ceremony because we had to leave the churc
Overwhelmed
I've come so far, and I feel like I'm still two steps behind the pack.
I have no delusions or grandeur...I don't fancy myself the next Stephen Eastwood, Edward Weston, or even Terry Richard. I just wish I could take a few more steps in the right direction without feeling I was still 500 behind other people.
I've had some awesome opportunities arise. I'll be shooting with the wonderful Raelyn Mouse on the 5th...one of my favorite art nude models. We'll be heading to the Ledges, where I shot my last set of pictures. The location calls for nudes, and she is an art nude model, so we'll be sneaking around once again. The wonderful Ms. LeSt
Prints for Sale
So, rent is due pretty soon here. I paid for my first year at the apartments up front, but my lease ends in about two months, and although I've been saving quite a bit, I still need to make some extra cash to renew my lease for another six months. Life of a college student, right?
And since I need money, and I'm a photographer (sort of) I'm willing to sell prints for the low, low price of twenty dollars.
My main image, a girl looking out a window in B&W will be signed. My new print, "Mens Shirts", will be signed and numbered. So, get that print while you still can, because once they're gone, they're gone.
